I graduated from Maritime Business College in July 2018 and wrote and passed my VTNE in December of the same year. I completed my externship at a veterinary hospital in Halifax before joining the team at Spryfield Animal Hospital. I chose this field not only for my love of animals but also for the medical aspects it offers. Being a veterinary technician means so much more than caring for sick animals. It's about the everyday routines and procedures from spays/neuters and vaccines to taking x-rays and aiding the doctor in a diagnosis of a possible disease. I enjoy working in the lab creating blood-smears and glancing at ear cytologies for bacteria and parasites. I also enjoy aiding in surgery, whether it be monitoring or prepping a patient. I love meeting the patients and their loving families and the people I work with are amazing and incredibly supportive.
Fun fact about myself is that I have a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts (Visual).
