I grew up in Ontario and Alberta and moved to Nova Scotia in 2018. I attended Ashworth College and graduated with my diploma in veterinary assisting in 2018. I choose the veterinary field because of, like the rest of us here, my love of animals. I started off studying human anatomy and physiology because I wanted to work in the medical field but decided after finishing that I would rather be working with animals, still in a medical capacity. I enjoy observing surgeries, neuter/spays, exploratories, TPLOs. My long term goal is to go back to school to become a veterinary technician and be able to assist in the surgeries. The people I work with at Spryfield Animal Hospital are great, they’ve made transitioning into a new career a lot easier, and I love that I am always surrounded by animals here, whether it be our three clinic cats, a co-workers dog, my own dog, or clients.
A fun fact about me is that I have two rats, Turbo and Mr. Twitch, and a miniature Dachshund, Chloe.
