RVT

I chose to work in the Veterinary Field because of my lifelong desire to help animals. Since I was able to talk I had said I wanted to be a Vet but once entering the field at 16 at Fairview Animal Hospital and seeing what Technicians do comparatively it was no question that I wanted to be a Vet Tech. Immediately after High School, I entered the Veterinary Technician Program at Dalhousie Agriculture Campus and began my journey. Graduating in 2019, I quickly wrote my VTNE and became a Registered Veterinary Technician later that year.

The area of veterinary medicine I enjoy most is anaesthesia and critical care of our hospitalized patients who are in constant need of comfort in a place they do not know. Outside of work I live with my boyfriend and our 3 cats Esme, Jasmine, and Kim. Along with our girls, I have 2 large aquariums that I tend to as my hobby, if I'm not already curled up reading a good book. Hopefully this year we are looking to add a GSD to our family as well.
