Dr. Desveaux, DVM

Dr. Celeste Desveaux is a Nova Scotia native who was born in Cape Breton, grew up in Kingston and now resides just outside of Halifax. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Dalhousie University, Dr. Desveaux’s love of animals and helping people caused her to change paths and explore an interest in veterinary medicine. She spent a year at the Truro Agricultural College where she loved spending time in the barn and volunteering with Hope for Wildlife. She then moved to PEI to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2018. After working for two years in southwestern Ontario, Dr. Desveaux moved back to the east coast to be closer to her family.

Her favourite thing about Spryfield Animal Hospital is the great sense of teamwork and she enjoys working with her colleagues to help any pet in need. In her spare time, Dr. Desveaux loves spending hours hiking with her 5-year-old lab-shepherd mix, Ryder, and relaxing at home with her two tabby cats, Phoebe and Pippy, and 11-year-old bichon mix, Jake.

Fun Fact: Dr. Desveaux and Bear, the clinic cat, have developed a great friendship and Bear can often be found napping on her desk!
